Musical Theatre Jazz

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Students will learn the skills to perform choreography needed for a Broadway musical. Students will gain an appreciation and understanding of how choreography is an important element to any musical production, and how it enhances the non-verbal emotional connection to the audience. Students will apply the foundational concepts of musical theatre jazz dance and dynamics work, honing the techniques necessary for effective character development and  story telling - improving their ability to pick up different styles of dance quickly. In turn, this will improve students’ audition skills. This workshop will also focus on strategies for learning and performing dance combinations as they occur in a professional musical theatre dance audition.
