Attention Instead of Tension. A linking of the Alexander and Suzuki Techniques

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Through the lens and teachings of FM Alexander, we will explore what it means to rigorously work physically in the demanding postures and activities of the Suzuki Technique. About Suzuki: The Suzuki Method is a rigorous physical and vocal discipline for performers, created by renowned theater artist Tadashi Suzuki and his company. The method is designed to regain the perceptive abilities and powers of the body/voice instrument. Drawing on a unique combination of traditional and innovative forms, the training strives to restore the wholeness of self as a tool of theatrical expression. About Alexander: The Alexander Technique is an educational process that develops one's conscious control and an ability to avoid unnecessary tensions.
